Varanasi to Delhi

Today we have an early morning jolly boating trip along the Ganges to watch the pilgrims bathing in the crystal clear pure waters, which is a sort of Hindu version of confessional.

Then a breakfast of masala dosa
and we are off to Delhi by boat, road and plane. Apart from a minor misunderstanding regarding overweight luggage, everything goes smoothly.
We are picked up by our tour operator who drops us off at the very decadent, fancy pants Imperial Hotel. Delhi appears to be a rather different kettle of fish to other Indian cities with wide boulevards reminiscent of the Champs Elysee(seriously) and impressive colonial buildings.
Tonight we dine at the India Accent restaurant, considered the best in all of the sub-continent.
To my great happiness they have a fine selection of single malts, however the wine list is astonishing as regards pricing e.g. $30 back home, $300 here! There is a huge tax on imported liquour in this country.
